Bridges - Bridges use your existing teeth to create a bridge to cross the area where your tooth is missing and are made from gold, metal, alloys or porcelain to ensure that they are strong and durable. First, an abutment is taken out of your existing teeth where the bridge will be attached and a mold is taken of the area so that a bridge can be created that will fit comfortably. A temporary bridge is fitted for you while your permanent bridge is crafted. Shortly afterwards, your permanent bridge will be ready.
Crowns - Crowns can help restore the effects of decay, cracks, discoloration and more. Made from either, porcelain, porcelain fused to metal or full gold, crowns can be matched to the shade of your teeth. The process takes about 2-3 dental visits. First your enamel will be filled down so that the crown can be placed over the tooth. Then a mold will be taken so that your crown can fit correctly.

Dentures - Dentures are a replacement for missing teeth that can be removed and put back into your mouth. Full and partial dentures are available.
Conventional Full Dentures- All teeth are removed and the tissue is given time to heal before the dentures are placed. You will be without teeth during this time, which may take up to a few months.
Immediate Full Dentures- An alternative in which Dr. Mehlhoff will take measurements and have dentures fitted for your mouth prior to teeth removal. Dentures are immediately placed in your mouth after the teeth have been removed so there is no period in which you are without teeth. However, you will need a follow up visit to refit your dentures because your jaw bone will slightly change shape as your mouth heals.
